Early versions of Sake can be traced as far back as the 14th century BC, but Sake as we know it today in Japan came into wide production most likely during the Heian Era, 794-1192. Today quality Sake has become a world class beverage with coinsurers in every nation. There are many varieties and brewing methods that result in distinct qualities. Sake may be served hot, cold or at room temperature. It is popular to serve it hot in winter months and cold in summer months. Sake drinking is part of the ritual, cultural and religious background of Japan. Decanting Sake in fine ceramic containers is part of that ancient heritage, and also serves to differentiate served Sake from stored Sake, and to preserve the service temperature. The dream Sake set from Reorient is hand crafted in Japan using hand mixed glazes. The black and browns run together in free form so no two sets will be identical. The Japanese Character for "dream" is inscribed on the front, as invocation of relaxation, or looking to the future and finding success.

Beautiful Sake set
Sensational quality Sake set. The brown and the black compliment each other under the glaze so well. The "dream" symbol is very simple and works very well with the look. This does a great job of not trying to be a flashy modern style set, but rather tries to capture a more traditional classic feel.
