Great German Chocolate Cake recipe--no wonder it's Garth's favorite!
My sister-in-law made the German Chocolate Cake for Christmas and it was delicious. I think I'm going to have to find my own copy of this cookbook, too.
Thanks for sharing these recipes, Trisha!
Cookbook review
I am a bit disappointed in this cookbook. My expectations were pretty high after watching the show in Country Music Television. There are really not many good recipes in the book. It is beautifully written with wonderful pictures, but the same old tired recipes. I would not buy this one if I could have previewed it first.
Georgia Cooking in a Oklahoma Kitchen
Loved this cookbook. When it first came out I borrowed from the library, then I knew I had to have it for use when ever I wanted to. Tried the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, DELICIOUS!! Real downhome recipes your family will love.
Home cooking at its best!
I grew up in rural Idaho, learning to cook from the best: my mother. As an adult, I've gathered recipes from the outstanding cooks I've met, as well as several very good cookbooks. Trisha Yearwood's cookbook contains the finest home cooking recipes I've found in one cookbook. There is NO other cookbook like it. There are several dishes I remember making when I was younger, but no longer had the recipe for. I've tried to find them for years, and finally did. They are in this cookbook! It's excellent!
Awesome Cookbook
I love how "down home" this recipe book is. I used a few recipes so far and love the results. Trisha shares great stories about herself and her family and makes you really feel a part of the experience.
